Deep Sadness

My mother passed away yesterday afternoon, she left our world very quietly, just slipped away. 

She had been in a nursing home for the past 3 years, she suffered from Alzheimer's and had had a number of set backs the last 2 years that she never fully recovered from. 

She will be deeply missed.

What do you imagine when you think of Valentine's Day?

Maybe a mailbox

over flowing with cards.

Jaynie got many cards, she had a very happy day.

I had planned on doing a series of Valentine's projects  but real life got in the way,
including a blizzard that dropped about 27 inches of snow on us in 24 hours,
a 24 hour travel ban, all roads closed,
3 days without power, so no heat, it got very cold.

After the roads reopened and we finally got plowed out, we were very lucky to find  a motel room,  where we could bring the cat, Spot, with us.  He was not a happy cat, he meowed at me all night and hid under the bed all day.  We were very happy when the power came back on and we could come back home after about 24 hours.

I hope that you like the little bit that I got done, even though it's a bit late.
